There is always a certain chain of events which takes place whenever a delivery truck pulls up in front of my house unexpectedly. There is the usual range of emotion which covers everything from surprise to “what did I order last online?”, lots of running and dog repositioning, and of course your typical squeal of delight. Today’s performance was nothing but epic, as I was at the top of my game.
Thanks to the magic of airline travel, my sister and brother-in-law were able to come down to visit this misplaced yankee for a late birthday celebration. As with any time that I have family visiting from Chicago, the weather sucked, and rained every day. The only logical thing to do was to make a long weekend out of it… drinking.
This weekend I was fortunate enough to celebrate my 30th birthday - it was a great time which will never be forgotten. I thought it might be fun to share some photos with you, which you can then use to come up with your own account of how the celebration went down.
